Adunni Bankole, step-mother of Dimeji Bankole, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives is dead.
She died on Saturday, January 3, just few hours before the commencement of the wedding ceremony of her second daughter, Mopelola Zeenat.
She had been sick for over a month and had been in a coma for the last five days.
Bankole, who was one of the wives of the astute businessman and politician, Alani Bankole, reportedly died in her mother’s house in Mende area of Maryland in Lagos.
She was the Iyalode of Gbagura, a socialite and a businesswoman who had once operated a household care product store, Sublime Group, at Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos, before relocating it to Ogba Retail market.
Bankole is survived by her 79-year old mother, children, husband and many siblings.
