Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, Osun State House of Assembly member-elect in Obokun Constituency, has described Rauf Aregbesola, Osun State Governor, as a leader worthy of emulations.
Oyintiloye stated this in a statement he issued on Monday, May 25, while congratulating Aregbesola on his 58th birthday.
Describing the governor as a political wizard whose role and doggedness catapulted the opposition to take over government at the centre, Oyintiloye said Aregbesola has proven to be “a remarkable, visionary and passionate politician, from whom many politicians, including myself have drawn great inspirations.”
He also said the political tutelage he has undergone under Aregbesola had broadened his horizon politically and gave him the leverage to be of service to humanity.
“Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is a remarkable, distinguished and outstanding personality whose foray into politics has brought positive paradigm shift to social and political governance.
“The occasion of Aregbesola’s birthday was rather a celebration of the sustenance of democracy in Nigeria and advancement of social good.
“No doubt, as Aregbesola marks his 58th birthday, I know, he will have a sense of fulfillment that several people who passed through him including my humble self are doing pretty well.
“I know Aregbesola to have dedicated his life for service to humanity and this has actually earned him a lot of respect locally, nationally and internationally.
“His 58th birthday is highly remarkable because for the first time in Nigeria, the progressive fold which he belongs to is taking over the government at the centre.
“As he celebrates, what will be his joy as he always says, is that Nigerians will now begin to experience positive change in all aspects of our lives, this is worthy of celebration,” the statement said.
He noted that his voyage into politics was borne out of his love to see the human life lifted out of the state of poverty and under development.
Oyintiloye expressed great optimism that under the leadership of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Osun would overcome its current challenges.
He called on the governor to continue to strengthen his resolve to better the lot of the people, adding that this would earn him more respect before the entire world.
The lawmaker-elect also advised other political leaders to emulate the leadership style of Aregbesola for the betterment of the country.
