Akiolu, Baba Ijebu Donate Relief Materials to Victims of Lagos Building Collapse

Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu and Chief Adebutu Kessington popularly called Baba Ijebu are among Nigerians who have donated to victims of the three-story building which collapsed at Ita-Faji, Lagos Island.

Jide Idris, Lagos State Commissioner for Health, while receiving donations from  Akilu, Kensington and Spectranet Nig. Ltd., said the gifts would go a long way in soothing the pains of the victims as well as quicken their rehabilitation.

The commissioner also expressed gratitude to Nigerians for responding swiftly to the government’s call for donations of blood, cash and other items for the victims of building collapse in the state.

While Oba Akiolu and Adebutu donated N10 million each, Spectranet donated N5 million. Similarly, Chivita Nig. Ltd. supported the victims with drugs worth several millions of naira.
