Former Lagos State governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has announced the passing of his mother, Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour, bringing an outpouring of sympathy from supporters, political associates and well-wishers across Nigeria.

In a statement released by the Rhodes-Vivour family on Monday, July 13, 2026, the family expressed profound grief while giving thanks to God for what they described as a life well lived.

“With deep sadness, but with gratitude to God for a life well lived, we announce the passing of our beloved Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour (née Waboso),” the family said.
