The world of professional wrestling has lost one of its most iconic figures. WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan, born Terry Bollea, has passed away at the age of 71 following a cardiac arrest at his Clearwater home.
The news, confirmed by WWE in an official statement, has sent shockwaves through the global wrestling community. The statement reads:
“WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans.”

Hogan was reportedly surrounded by family, including his wife Sky Daily, at the time of his passing.
Rising to fame in the 1980s, Hulk Hogan became the face of World Wrestling Entertainment (then WWF), headlining numerous WrestleManias and sparking a global wrestling boom. His charismatic persona, trademark red-and-yellow gear, and iconic catchphrase “Whatcha gonna do, brother?!” became cultural staples.
Beyond the ring, Hogan made successful ventures into film, television, and reality shows, including Rocky III, Mr. Nanny, and Hogan Knows Best. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice—first in 2005 as an individual and again in 2020 as part of the legendary New World Order (NWO) faction.
